George Silas Roberts, 97 went home to his Lord on Thursday, November 30, 2017. He was born on February 3, 1920 in Warren, IN to the late Silas and Blanche (Nash) Roberts. George worked for the Fort Wayne Newspaper in type setting. George is a member of the Anthony Wayne Church of God and an Army Veteran of WWII.

Surviving is his niece Mary (Douglas) Ervin-Rehm, grand nieces and nephews Stanley K. (Jennifer) Ervin, great nieces and nephews, David D. Ervin, Durinda L. Ervin, great-great nieces and nephews, Jonathan, Jason, Rachel, Jessica and great-great-great nephew, Carter.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday December 6, 2017 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with viewing 1 hour prior to service. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
