George J. Walowich, 90, died Sunday July 26, 2015 at his home surrounded by family. He was born April 16, 1925 in South Fork, PA to the late Andrew and Amelia Walowich. George worked at Magnavox for 23 years and was a greeter at Walmart for 17 years. He was an Army Veteran and a member of former American Legion Post 82.

Surviving are his wife Bonnie Walowich, family, Darlene (John) Polk, Barb (Mike) Schott, John Walowich, Christine Kreider, 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Ed, a granddaughter, a great-grandson, and 1 sister.

Service is 1:00 p.m. Friday July 31, 2015 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 1 hour prior to service. There is also viewing Thursday July 30, at the funeral home from 2 - 8 P.M. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to; Visiting Nurse or Allen County SPCA or Community Harvest Food Bank.
