Georgia Lee (Boyd) Ruthsatz, 79, of Fort Wayne, died on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at home. Born in Richmond, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Mike Boyd and Alice (Bennett) Begue. She was a member of the Plymouth Congressional Church. She worked in the administrative and insurance department of Aging & In Home Services and Park Center. She was a great historian and a war buff extraordinaire. "Georgia was a wonderful home maker, devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother."
She is survived by her sons, Richard (Trisha) of Torrance, California, Mike (Debbie) of Anderson, South Carolina and David (Debbi) of Columbia, South Carolina; daughters, Pam (David) Sorg and Trudell Ort both of Fort Wayne; brothers, Gerald (Pam) Begue and Frank (Sue) Begue both of Fort Wayne; 13 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Richard A. Ruthsatz, on March 24, 2014; daughter, Konnie Helmuth; and great grandson, Avett.
Private services were held at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road. She was laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to Visiting Nurse or Cancer Services.
