Georgianna (Georgie) Ostermeyer, 77, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 1, 2015. She was at home surrounded by the many loving members of her family. She was born, In Fort Wayne on March 6, 1938, the daughter of the late George and Helen VanKirk. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Georgie loved camping, was trained as a navigator in sailing. She enjoyed sailing on Lake James and Coldwater Lake as well as Lake Michigan in Saugutuck. Since high school her girlfriends for 60 years were active in a poker club. The most joy was to be on the back porch with family.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Walter, and children, Kirk (Lori) Grable; Kimberly Recht; David (Marianne) Ostermeyer, and Karen (Mark) Moore. Also grandchildren Clint Grable, Ashley, Lewis, Savannah and Sydney Ostermeyer, and Samuel, Abigail, and Joseph Moore; and sisters Carolyn (William) Wallschlaeger and Abigail (Michael) McQueen. She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas VanKirk.

A memorial service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church 2313 S. Hanna on Saturday, June 6 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Douglas Punke officiating. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.
