Gerald Dean Combs 84 died Saturday at Parkview Hospital. Born in Roanoke, Virginia to the late Hyatt and Maude Combs he retired from Harvester and in retirement worked at Wells St. Hardware. He was a Korean Army veteran. Surviving are his, wife, Maxine Combs, Ft. Wayne, IN, son, Charles Combs, Ft. Wayne, IN, daughter, Kathy Combs, Ft. Wayne, IN., grandchildren, Marybeth, Angie, James, Laura and Judy, great-grandchildren, Bryce, Alex, Jasmine, Jada, A.J. and Andrew. Services are 1:30 p.m. Wednesday December 8 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 1 hour prior to service. There is also calling Tuesday 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers preferred memorials to the family.
