Geraldine E. Hapner, 85, died Sunday September 2, 2012. She was born July 29, 1927 in Ft. Wayne, IN to the late Raymond and Marie Snyder. She worked 28 years as a teacher for Kiddie Prep School. Surviving are her children, Michael (Debra) Hapner, Christine (Steve) Shoemaker, John "Doug" Hapner, Lori (Paul) Zollinger, 11 grandchildren, Shannon, Ashley, Aaron, Adam, Scott, Eric, Josh, Brooke, Blair, Landon, Melissa, 20 great-grandchildren and brother, John (Carol) Snyder. Service is 1:00 p.m. Friday September 7, 2012 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 1 hour prior to service. There is also calling Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Preferred memorials to Visiting Nurse and Hospice.
