Geraldine "Gerrie" May Zuber, 92, passed away from this life into the waiting arms of her Lord Jesus, Friday, April 20, 2018 at home in Fort Wayne.  Gerrie was born to the late Albert and Leota Trautman, February 19, 1926.  Gerrie married her beloved soldier, Darrell A. Zuber on April 1, 1945.  They were married 57 years when Darrell went to be with the Lord Jesus.  Gerrie enjoyed playing cards, board and computer games.  She traveled with her Homemaker's club, member of Christian Women's Club and a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Leo.  Her greatest joy was being with her husband and family.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She was a mom and grandmother to all.  She loved them and they loved her.

She is survived by, Barry (Deb) Zuber of Fort Wayne, the late, Gregory F. (Penny) Zuber of Pataskala, Ohio, Deborah (Mel) Gillespie of Huntington, Colleen Zuber of Fort Wayne, Kirk (Sonya) of Syracuse; also adopted daughter, Betty Forehand; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by, son, Gregory; two sisters, Marcella Kokosa and Barbara Trautman; and brother, Harold Trautman.

Gerrie's Celebration is 1 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2018 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior.  Leading the Celebration will be Pastor Rodney Schmeltz and Chaplain Forrest Tabor.  Calling is also 4-8 p.m., Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the funeral home.  She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens.  Preferred memorials are to American Heart Association or the Cancer Services of NE Ind.
