Geraldine W. Nygaard, 94, passed Wednesday, February 7, 2018.  Born in Mattoon, Illinois, she was a daughter to the late Lawrence and Effie Willison.  Geraldine was a homemaker for her family; when her children went off to school she then worked at Stillmans Department Store.  She was also a Red Hat Lady.

Geraldine is survived by daughter, Linda (Chuck) Graham of Fort Wayne; step children, Doug (Annette) Nygaard of Fort Wayne and Marilyn (Gale) Habegger of Convoy, Ohio; two grandchildren, Bryan Graham and Tanya (Kelly) Cunningham; five step grandchildren, Jonathan, Leah, Logan, Jacob Nygaard and Austin Habegger; 5 great grandchildren, Taylor, Kyle, Ashley, Brandon and Alyssa; and 4 great great grandchildren, Emma, Lillian, Avery and John.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Karns, in 1985; second husband, Philip Nygaard,  in 2018; son, Randall Karns, in 1992; step daughter, Susan Nygaard; and a brother, Larry Willison.
