Gertrude Peterson White, 95, died Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Heritage of Fort Wayne. Gertrude was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to the late, George Peterson and Dorothy (Bettison) Peterson-Holliday. Following her father''s death her mother then married George Holliday and they raised the children together. Gertrude retired from the Allen County Auditors Office after many years of service. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Marie White of Fort Wayne; son, Robert (Cheryl) White of New Haven; daughter in law. Marilyn White; several grandchildren great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brothers, John "Jack" Holliday of Scottsdale, Arizona and William "Jim" Holliday of Vera Beach, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Edward White, on October 1, 1997; son, Thomas White, on December 19, 2015; and a brother, Robert "Bob" Holliday.

Per Gertrude''s request there are no calling or services. She was inurned with her husband at Lindenwood Cemetery.
