Gladys L. Shaw, 91, passed away Tuesday May 24, 2016. She was born November 2, 1924 in Fort Wayne to the late Nicholas and Clara Kitchen. Gladys was a past member of the American Legion Roanoke 160 Auxiliary, V.F.W. Auxiliary and the Christ''s United Methodist Church.

Surviving is daughter Carol (Dave) Vining, one granddaughter Susanna Vining. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Paul F. Shaw in 1986 and a son, John Shaw in 2012 and 6 siblings.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday May 27, 2016 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with viewing 30 minutes prior to service. There is also calling at the funeral home Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to Visiting Nurse and Hospice or the Christ''s United Methodist Church.
