Obituary

Goldie Bernice Thompson, 87, of Fort Wayne, died July 10, 2007 at Lutheran Hospital. She was preceded in death by Clifford, her husband of 63 years. She was born in Fort Wayne on November 11, 1919, to Theodore and Wilda Branning. For many years, she taught leather craft and various senior citizen classes for the Fort Wayne Park Board at Jefferson Center. She started Tuddies Millinery in May of 1961, where she taught numerous classes and created custom millinery. In 1969, the business evolved into Tuddies Fabrics, which she and her husband operated until retiring in June 2004. She is survived by a son, Laron (Nancy) of Camas, Washington; a daughter, Cheryl (James) Small of Warsaw; five grandchildren, Kimberly, Jeffrey and Michael Thompson, and Aynsley and Matthew Small; three great grandchildren, Caitlyn Thompson, Ryan and Tyler Thompson; a sister, Evelyn Gerrard of Fort Wayne. Services Saturday 11 a.m. at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with James Small officiating. Calling Friday 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
