Gregory George Bender, 77, of Woodburn, Indiana passed away September 4, 2021.  He was born February 20, 1944 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Howard and Annabelle (Graham) Bender.

Greg proudly served our country in the Air Force for six years.  He was happily married to his bride, Deborah (Lesh), for 33 years until her passing in 2012.  When Greg returned from the Air Force, he went to work as a long haul truck driver until retirement.  He was a member of the Woodburn Missionary Church.  In his spare time, Greg enjoyed puzzle books, and watching all kinds of sports from Indy car and NASCAR to the Indianapolis Colts and the IU Hoosiers.  Above all, Greg loved his family and worked hard to make sure they were always taken care of.  He will be missed dearly by many.

Greg will be forever remembered by his sons, Adam Bender, and Daniel (Mary) Bender; granddaughter, Caitlin; sisters, Jeannette Emley, and Iris Radecki; and many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 10:00am - 11:00am Saturday, September 11 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana, with service to begin at 11:00am.
