Guenther Niederholtmeyer, 69 of Ft. Wayne, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Lutheran Hospital. He was the son of Heinrich and Agnes Niederholtmeyer, born on Nov. 18, 1939 in Germany. Guenther moved to the U.S. in 1962 where he was a carpenter and cabinet maker, and was a member of the Carpenters Union, Local 232. He is survived by his sons Mike (Colleen) of Kaukauna, WI and Gerald Niederholtmeyer.; daughter Heidi (Dennis) Witte; grandchildren Amy, Adam, Amanda, Alexander and Annalise Niederholtmeyer, Jacob, Aaron, and Jessica Witte; brothers Werner (Irmhild) Niederholtmeyer, Heinz Niederholtmeyer of Germany; sisters Marianne (Johannes) Klaffke and Ursula Bulthaupt and Margret Bernt both of Germany; and nieces and nephews Todd Niederholtmeyer, Tina Scavo, Stephan Klaffke, Thomas Klaffke, Eva Tully, and Doris Loomis. Guenther was preceded in death by his parents and brother Rolf. Funeral services will be 6:00p.m. Thursday at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road with calling two hours prior.
