Harold A. Durnell, 66, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday Nov 30, 2006 at Hospice Home. He was born Dec 13, 1939 in Fort Wayne and farmed in his early years. In 2002 he retired from the Fort Wayne Parks Department after 43 years and was a member of Branches of Christ Church. He loved the outdoors and had a passion for NASCAR racing and Dale Earnhardt Sr., but most of all he loved his family and friends. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Judy K. Durnell; sons, Harold C. (Lisa) Durnell of Fort Wayne, Scott W. (Dawn) Durnell of Hudson and Greg A. (Donna) Durnell of Fort Wayne; brothers, Ed Durnell and Mike (Peg) Durnell both of Fort Wayne; sisters, Betty Hyde of Fort Wayne, Kate (Ed) Gebhart of Churubusco and Becky (Joe) White of Fort Wayne; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services Monday 1 p.m. with visitation two hours prior at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. Visitation Sunday 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials to Branch of Christ Church.
