Harold E. Wilkerson, 95, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Parkview Randallia Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Harold was a son to the late William and Louise (Brockmeyer) Wilkerson. He was a 1946 graduate of Central High School and served honorably in the United States Army Air Corp. He married Jean Siebold on December 28, 1947 and she survives. Harold was a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at GE until his retirement. He was a member of the GE Apprentice Alumni Association, GE Quarter Century Club, Brookside Church, American Legion Post 777, the MENSA Foundation and The Gideon's of DeKalb, Illinois and Fort Wayne, IN. Harold enjoyed bowling and playing pinochle, bridge and euchre. Surviving are his wife, Jean Wilkerson; children, Susan (Harlen) Hildebrandt, Cheryl Harper, Jeffery (Kathy) Wilkerson and Mark (Deborah) Wilkerson; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Harold was also proceeded in death by his daughter, Melanie Wilkerson; brothers, Gordon Wilkerson and Donald Wilkerson; sister, Gloria Connor; and son-in-law, Doug Harper. Funeral service 1:00pm, Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Visitation also, Friday, April 5, 2024 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Covington Memorial Funeral Home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
