Helen H. Donnell, 84, died Tuesday, October 30, 2018.  She was born in Decatur, GA on October 14, 1934 to the late Joseph and Mildred Hendley.  Throughout her life in Ft. Wayne Helen served as Minister of Music for Aldersgate United Methodist Church, West Creighton Church and First Christian Church and most recently at Peace United Church of Christ.  She traveled to Germany and East Germany with the Festival of Peace and Understanding Choir and initiated the donation of a full set of hand bells to an East German church.  Helen also directed the Lincoln Choraliers for many years.  She was an active member of Peace United Church of Christ.

Surviving are her husband Wayne Donnell; children, Julie (John Shoaff) Donnell, Joe (Elizabeth) Donnell, Janet (Nels) Johnson; two grandchildren Michael and Laura; and a brother-in-law Andrew Badger.  Helen was preceded in death by her sister Charlotte Badger.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday November 3, 2018 at Peace United Church of Christ 9123 Aboite Ctr. Rd. Ft. Wayne, IN 46804 with visitation 1 hour prior to service.  There is also visitation Friday at the church from 4:30 ~ 7:30 p.m.  Preferred memorials are to Peace United Church of Christ.

Entombment will be in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
