Helen (Miracle) Johnson died peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, March 25 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer and pneumonia. Helen was born in Dorton, Kentucky February 5, 1936 to Mollie (Roberts) and Albert Miracle.  They precede her in death.

When she was a teenager, Helen moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she would meet the love of her life, Willard (Tom) Johnson.
Together, they enjoyed one adventure after another, living in Richmond and Pikeville Kentucky, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Geneva, Illinois, and Knoxville, Tennessee. They returned to Indiana in 1996, living near their grandchildren in Granger, Indiana.  They loved to travel and saw many parts of the country together.  Helen loved to work and enjoyed a long career in accounting.  Her favorite role was being Nana to her grandchildren and she loved spoiling them.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Willard (Tom) Johnson, son Eric, daughter Valerie (William) Terando, grandchildren Marissa and Johnathan Terando, sister Nancy (Robert) Compton, brother Freddie (Catherine) Miracle and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 30 minutes prior to service.  There is also calling Friday at the funeral home from 6:00 ~ 8:00 p.m.  Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Memorials may be made in Helen's name to Riley Children's Foundation www.rileykids.org or the Fishers Fire Foundation at www.fishersfirefoundation.org
