Obituary

HENRY LEE WILLIS, departed this life in the early morning of Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at St. Joseph Hospital. He was born on April 4, 1944, to Wilson and Sallie J. Willis in Whynot, Mississippi. Henry relocated from Mississippi to Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1965. He accepted Christ as his savior in his youth. He was a believer and most recently united in worship and fellowship at Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. After relocating to Fort Wayne, he had been employed by various companies and worked for Phelps Dodge Corporation. Henry enjoyed friends and family. He loved to cook. Henry also enjoyed helping his many grandchildren. He leaves to cherish his memory, Patricia Allen, daughters, Vanessa (Trenton) Jones, Virginia West, Tanya Allen, Tangelia Allen and Linda (Dennis Threatt) Allen all of Fort Wayne, IN. Sons- Mickey Ezell, Eddie Willis--Lansing, MI, Bobby Willis--Saginaw, MI, Michael Allen--Mankato, MN, Christopher Allen, Fort Wayne and Demarcus Brown--Newport, MN, a brother, Wilson Willlis and sisters- Louise (Eddie) Rodgers, Mae Bell (James) Cole, Mattie (Lester) Lemon, Helloes Willis, Ruby Lathon and Dianne (Ronald) Carter-Anderson, 38 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents- Wilson and Sallie Willis, a brother- Robert L. Willis and sister- Tavie Mae Kelly. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 3506 Warsaw St. with calling two hours prior.
