Hilda Louise Greener, 87, of Fort Wayne, died on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Visiting Nurse. The Fort Wayne native was the daughter of the late Arnold and Eleanora (Niemeyer) Lahmeyer. She was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church. She retired from Fortmeyers Inc., after 25 years of service. She loved her family, friends, traveling, dancing, music bowling and euchre.
She is survived by her sons, David (Diana) Greener and Richard (Amy) Greener; daughter in law, Jacki Greener; 10 grandchildren, Rob (Brittney), Doug (Angela), Katie, Kaleb, Olivia Jean, Kelsey, Kayli, Danielle (Brian), Matt (Jessica) and Melissa; and 8 great grandchildren, Josh, Olivia Kennedy, Dexter, Andrew, Savannah, Owen, Arianna and Rafael.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Greener, in 1970; and a son, Stanley Greener, in 2010.
Funeral Service is 1 p.m., Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Emmaus Lutheran Church, 8626 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 2-8 p.m., Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Covington Funeral home, 8408 Covington Road. She will be laid to rest at Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to Emmaus Lutheran Church.
