Howard Sandel, 71, passed away Mon. May 19, 2008 at his home. Howard was a former hockey player, volenteer fire firefighter and retried from United Steering System. He is survived by his wife Carol; daughters Bobbette Chavez (John), Ruthie Yoder (Wesley) and Nellie Charles (Timothy); 7 grandchildren; brothers James and Donald; and sisters Kathaleen Riggins, Rita Sandel, Joan Kozicki, and Linda Sandel. Howard is preceded in death by his parents John and Ruth, and brother John Sandel. Funeral Service will be 11 am Thursday at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington RD with calling there one hour prior. Visitation will also be Wed. from 2:00-4:00p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Memorial Contributions can be made to Southern Care Hospice, Inc.
