Ida B (Hornsby) Zies,87, of Fort Wayne, went home to her Heavenly Father on Wed Feb 1, surrounded by loving family at North Woods Village. She worked at Peter Eckrich, Ft Wayne Schools and retired from LS Ayer's Tearoom in 1990. Ida loved cooking and baking for family and friends, she had a generous and giving heart. Born in Uniontown PA, she came to Ft Wayne in 1953 where she married the love of her life, Al Zies for 67 years.
She is survived by daughter, Patti (C Michael) Taylor, son Kevin (Cari Mader) Zies, granddaughter, Elizabeth Zies, two sister and 2 brothers. She was preceded in death by husband Richard (Al), two sisters and four brothers.
