Ignatius P. Arellano, 73, died Friday, January 6, 2017. He was born August 2, 1943 in Brownsville, TX to the late Rosa Perez and Gabino Arellano. Ignatius worked for Peter Eckrich Corporation and the Smirfit Company.

Surviving is his wife Darlene Medsker Arellano, Stepdaughhter Darlene (Timothy) Grossman, and their 9 year old Thomas Grossman, Stepson Michael (Karen) McNeal, and 5 grandchildren, sisters, Victoria (Valente) Peralez, Rose (Bill) Adkins, and brother Mario (Emily) Arellano. Ignatius was preceded in death by his siblings, Gabino, Jr., Marie, Margaret, Juan, Faustino, and Guadalupe Martinez.

Funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home with viewing 2 hours prior to service. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
