Ilene Hess Pierce died Saturday Sept. 6, 2008 at Saint Anne Home in Fort Wayne. Born January 16, 1925 in Bellville, Ohio, she was the youngest daughter of the late Walter and Florence Hess. She retired from Lincoln National Life Insurance Company. She is survived by sons, Michael (Vicki) Pierce of Sydney, Ohio, Tim (Sara) Pierce of Palmetto, Florida and Jim (Joan) Pierce of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Kathy Pierce of Fort Wayne; eleven grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Merritt Pierce in 1995. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 10:30 a.m. with calling one hour prior at Saint Anne Home Chapel 1900 Randallia Drive.
