Irene M. Roman, 81, died, May 15, 2010 at Lutheran Hospital. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Stulas. She retired from Remington Shaver in Connecticut and when she moved to Fort Wayne she was a Meijer Greeter. A loving mother and devoted grandmother she will be missed by us. She is survived by her five children, Michael (Krista) Roman of Paducha, Kentucky, William Roman of Carmel, Patrick, Pamela and Laura Roman all of Fort Wayne; brother, Joseph Stulas; sister, Stella Andrejko; grandchildren, Alex, Adrienne, Hilary and Connor Roman. She was preceded in death by her husband, William V. Roman in 1999; one brother; and four sisters. Service is 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 5 - 7 p.m. Monday. She will be laid to rest by her husband in Greenlawn Memorial Park. In Lieu of flowers memorials are to American Cancer Society or Donor''s Choice.
