Irvin E. "Pete" Krauhs, 94, passed, Saturday, December 15, 2018.  Born in Fort Wayne, he was a son to the late Walter and Margaret Krauhs.  After high school, Pete served his country by enlisting in the Navy.  Early in his years he drove both Trolley Busses and City Busses here in Fort Wayne; that's where he met the love of his life, Patricia.  Pete retired from over the road truck driving at 87 years old.  He had worked for Transport Motors Express; and was also a member of Teamsters Local 414.  He loved fishing with his grandchildren, hockey, hunting, golf, racing, boxing and gardening.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Patricia M. (Stein) Krauhs; sons, Tim (Theresa) Krauhs of Roanoke, Jim (Sherry) Krauhs and Kim Krauhs both of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren, Nicole (Chad) Grieser, Nick Miller, Lindsey (Mike) Singpradith, Audrey May Krauhs and Samuel Pete Krauhs; and three great grandsons, Benett, Hudson and Sebastian.

He was preceded in death by sons, Randy Krauhs and Curt Krauhs; daughter, Darla Krauhs; brothers, Stan, Russ and Don Krauhs; and a sister, Merlyn Bowers.

Memorial Service is 1 p.m., Saturday, December 29, 2018, Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling two hours prior to the remembrance service.
