Jack L. Chaney 86 years old, passed into Heaven Thursday at Parkview Hospital. He retired from Rea Magnet Wire after 25 years of service. Jack was a member of North Christian Church for 53 years, he was also a 25 year member of American Legion Post # 47. He was a Veteran of WW II and a recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. "He enjoyed golfing many afternoons with his church buddies and took great pride in maintaining his beautiful yard." Surviving are sons, James (Chiarina) Chaney, Las Vegas, Don (Joyce) Chaney, Ft. Wayne, IN, daughter, Judy "Mather" Taule, Las Vegas, 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn, 1 son, William Mather , 1 daughter, Nancy "Chaney" Mihalik and 5 brothers. Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday November 23 at North Christian Church 5201 S. Camden Dr. Ft. Wayne, IN with calling 1 hour prior to service. Pastors John Vickery and Dr. Sam Young officiating.
