Jack W. Keener, 82, died Friday at his home surrounded by his family. He was born September 5, 1929 to the late Clarence A. and Anna (Dunham) Keener. Jack worked for Essex Wire for 47 years retiring in 1997. Surviving are his wife, Violet Keener, children, Debra (Bruce) Preston, John Keener, Paul (Michelle) Keener, 4 sisters, Joan (Robert) Klotz, Joyce Abbott, Bonnie, Kate Hall and 1 brother, Lyndal (Phyllis), 7 grandchildren, Matt (Heidi), Jessica, Rachelle, Bruce Jr. (Erin) Daniel (Erica) Collin, Noah and 8 great-grandchildren, Kodi, Kaleb, Diego, Eve, Yasmine, Emma, Makensi, Novali. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Paul, Leland, Wellman Keener and 3 sisters, Marjorie, Ruby and Eloise. Service is 1:00 p.m. Tuesday August 21, 2012 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 2 hours prior to service. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
