Jackie Denise Garrett-Anderson passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born April 11, 1963, in Fort Wayne, the daughter of Thadeus and Dorothy (Greene) Hill. She was married to Dewane "Cat Dr." Garrett until his passing in 2003. She then married Michael Anderson; he survives.

Jackie loved working in her flower gardens. She enjoyed candy, ice cream, scrolling and posting on FACEBOOK and most of all traveling to visit family. Her grandchildren were her world. She was the life of the party and could light up a room with her smile. She enjoyed making other people's lives better, especially as a CNA. She loved caring for her clients as they quickly became part of her family. Jackie will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Jackie is survived by her husband Michael; eight children, Jeremy (Misty) Garrett, Demedrick (Sarah) Hill, Talitha (Terry) Harris, Jason Garrett, Clinton Garrett, Adrian (Jeanette) Garrett, Felicia (John) Heisler and Katrina (Donald) Johnson; five siblings, Michael Hill, Thadeus Hill, Tony Greene, Kenny Brownlow Sr. and Antion Hill. She is also survived by the 22 beautiful souls that called her Grandma and Great Grandma. She was preceded in death by her first Husband Dewane "Cat Dr." Garrett, her parents, a sister Antoinette Perry and a brother Johnathan Hill.

Jackie was always the brightest star no matter where she went and never wanted to see sadness in others. The family requests that you try to wear something to reflect her beautiful bright personality. She loved her butterflies, hummingbirds and of course her flowers.

There will be a visitation from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Monday, August 4, 2025, at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804. The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at the funeral with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will follow in Covington Memorial Gardens.
