Jacqueline Jane Nichols, 85, passed away Monday, December 22, 2014 in Fort Wayne. Born February 8, 1929 in Lexington, KY, a daughter of the late Louis R. and Freda E. (Brightmeier) Beck.

Jackie worked at International Harvester where she met Ralph, her loving husband for 64 years of marriage. She also worked at Baer Field International Airport as Manager''s Administrator for 10 years. She enjoyed sewing knitting, reading, square dancing, charades, camping, Florida vacation, and above all caring for her family. Jackie was the cornerstone of our family and we will miss her immensely and pray she rests in peace.

Surviving are her husband, Ralph Nichols; children, Sue Ann (Chuck) Simpson, Dawson Springs, KY, Debra Nichols, Colorado Springs, CO, Sharon (Jim) Cordova, Encinitas, CA Steven Nichols, Roanoke, IN; 7 grandchildren, Leslie (Gorka), Curtis, Anthony, Jesse, Eric, Amy, and Justin; 2 great-grandchildren, Uxue, Alaia; sisters, Jan Schey, Ft. Wayne, IN, Doris Closson, Auburn, IN; and a special friend Liz Lydy. She was preceded in death by a 14 month old son, Larry.

Service is 1:00 p.m. Saturday December 27 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 with calling 30 minutes before service. There will also be calling Friday from 2 until 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Preferred memorials are to Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home.
