Jacqueline "Jacquie" Sue (Veihl) Brase, 82, of Fort Wayne, passed away Monday, November 29.  She was born May 23, 1939 in Quincy, Illinois to the late Harold and Ellen (Doctorman) Veihl.

Jacquie was married to her husband, Thomas "Ted" Brase, for 53 years until his passing in 2014.  Together they raised two daughters.  Jacquie and Ted loved vacationing in Florida and had a winter home in Port Richey for nearly 30 years.  She enjoyed outdoor activities including boating and golf, spending time with her friends playing cards, dining, or hanging out at "The Club".  Jacquie was a social butterfly and lived life to the fullest.  After Ted passed away, she spent many hours on the road with her daughter, Laura, traveling across the country.  She loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed.

Jacquie is survived by her daughter, Laura Smith; grandchildren, Dawn Goulding, Christopher Goulding, Karla Wilson, Kirsten Blessing; great grandchildren; and many, many good friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ted, Jacquie was preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret (Meme) Wells.

Family will receive friends from 2:00pm - 4:00pm Monday, December 6 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana, 46804, with service to follow at 4:00pm.

A memorial luncheon will be held at "The Club" December 11 from 12:00pm - 3:00pm, 110 West Railroad Street, Hamilton, IN 46742
