James Lynn Bireley, 91, passed Tuesday, August 27, 2019 with family at his side.  He was born in Leo, to the late Ora C. Bireley and Sadie (Mills) Bireley.  James proudly served his country in the Marine Corps.  He retired from Dana after 25 years of service and was the owner of Jim's Auto selling cars.  He was a Mason and Shriner.

Jim is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 71 years, Bonnie Jean (Melching) Bireley; daughter Debra (Mark) Hade; grandsons, Christoffer Hade and Bryan (Katie Lechleidner) Hade; one great granddaughter, Jenny.

Jim was also preceded in death by brothers, Sam, Tom and John Bireley; and sisters, Ruth Bireley, Lois Winkelman and Marium Kumfer.

Funeral Service is 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 30, 2019 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling two hours prior. Officiating will be pastor Christina Ryan~Perkins.   He will be entombed at Covington Memorial Gardens.  Preferred memorials are to NE Indiana Cancer Services.
