James "Jim" David Darland, 77, passed peacefully Saturday, March 28, 2020 at home with his wife by his side.  Born in Indianapolis, Indiana he was a son to the late, Martin Vance Darland and Frances Mae (Mikels) Darland.  Jim was drafted in the Army 10th Special Forces during Vietnam War.    He and his wife moved to Fort Wayne in 2010 to take care of his parents.  Jim was a devoted member of Heartland Church.

Jim is survived by his wife of 54 years, Clodella Ann (Blauser) Darland; children, Paul David Darland and Joanna (Fred) Moore; five grandchildren, Ashley Gongi, Luke Darland, Nicholas, Michael and Jared Moore; and his sisters, Nancy Vickery and Linda Alexander.

Celebration of Life is 1:30 p.m., Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Heartland Church, 1029 Vance Ave., Fort Wayne.
