James L. McDonald, 80, of Fort Wayne, died Wednesday Sept. 26, 2007 at home. Born Nov. 20, 1926 in Fort Wayne, he was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in WWII and Korea. He was a manager at Roller Dome South, a member of V.F.W and loved sports and trips to the casino. A loving father and husband, he leaves behind sons, Michael J. McDonald of Fort Wayne, Patrick T. McDonald of Bath, NY, and Robin J. McDonald of Albuquerque, NM; a daughter, Susan L. Beck of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn. Funeral service Saturday 1 p.m. with calling one hour prior at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. Calling also Friday 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
