James Joseph Meyer Jr., 71, passed away May 10, 2021 at Lutheran Hospital. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, He was the son of James Joseph Meyer, Sr. and Barbara Jean (Gase) Meyer.  He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He served in the Vietnam War.  He worked for 33 years as a tool and die maker at Phelps Dodge. He was a talented artist. He enjoyed reading, watching formula one racing, playing his guitars. He also was an avid model builder. He built many model ships and cars.

He  is survived by his mother, Barbara Meyer, son, James Joseph (Shelly) Meyer III, two daughters, Kristy (Kent) Stemen, Deborah (Brian)  Minick, brother, Robert Meyer, eight grandchildren, Tyler, Katie, Alan Michael, Zach, Joey, Trinity, Savannah, Adrienne and great- grandchild, Keatyn.

He was preceded in death by his father James Joseph Meyer, Sr.

Memorial service is 1:00 p.m. Friday, May, 21, 2021 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, He will be inurned at Covington Memorial Gardens.
