James H. Pequignot, 91, of Columbia City, died Thursday September 13, 2007 at home. Born April 15, 1916 on a farm in Allen County, he was a farmer his entire life retiring in 1978. He was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Roanoke, N.F.O., and a former Jefferson Township Advisory Board member. He is survived by a son, James M. Pequignot Jr. of Columbia City; daughters, Shirley (Eugene) Lamboley of Columbia City, Carol (Richard) Hyser of Roanoke, and Jeannie (Mike) Parker of Columbia City; brother, William Pequignot of Fort Wayne; sisters, Martha Trahin of Fort Wayne, and Mary Hinen of Columbia City; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Fayma June on March 21, 1988 and two granddaughters, Bethany Lamboley and Courtney Lynn Pequignot both in 1998. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday 10:30 a.m. at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 641 N. Main St. Roanoke.
