James T. Peters, 82, passed away May 26 at University Park Nursing Center. A lifelong resident of Fort Wayne, he was born at his family home on September 6, 1927. His parents were Otto and Bertha Peters. Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Betty, his daughters Cynthia Melville and Carol (Frank) Adams, and his brother Richard (Mary Lou). He has 6 grandchildren: Jeffery (Lisa), Abigail, James (Jill), Allison Green (Mitch), Angela and Joseph. He also has 3 great-grandchildren: Sam, Jack and Lily. He was preceded in death by his brother Frederick (Mary Lou) and his sister Kathryn. Jim & Betty owned and operated Broadway Galleries for over 30 years. He was a very sentimental man who loved to worship God. He enjoyed his family~ especially his grandkids! A Celebration Service will be held at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 4700 Vance Ave, Fort Wayne on Saturday, June 5, at 10:00 a.m. Calling will be 1 hour ahead of time. Preferred memorials are to the family.
