James Terry "J.T." Shields. 86, of Fort Wayne, died on, Sunday, November 2, 2014 at home. Born in Cruger, Mississippi, he was the son, of the late, Daniel and Savannah. He was a car transporter for Don Ayres for over 20 years then went to work for Dimension Ford doing the same. He was a member and deacon at Greater Mount Ararat Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son, Louis, Sr., (Bonnie) Sheilds of Schamburg, Ill; daughter, Amelia (the late, Gregory) Durden of Atlanta; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by wife and friend, Josephine; son, Danny; and sisters, Elouise Cooper, Lillie C. Rosko and Thelma Olive.

Funeral Service is 11 a.m., Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Greater Mount Ararat Baptist Church, 2111 Edsall Avenue, with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 6-8 p.m., Friday, November 7, 2014 at the Church. He will be laid to rest at Covington memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to the Church.
