Janet Lee Hull, 62, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, died peacefully and surrounded by her family on July 12, 2019 at 5:40 p.m. at Parkview North.

Janet was born December 1, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois. In 1990, she moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana with her husband and three oldest children, to be closer to her mother. In Fort Wayne, she worked in several restaurants; most notably Hall's Hollywood, where she made many of her dearest friends.

Janet had a deep faith in God and strong convictions to love and care for anyone who crossed her path. In addition to homeschooling her own daughters, she often took her childrens' friends under her wing, giving them anything she thought they needed, even opening her home to them at times. Janet was proud of her work as a waitress throughout much of her life, and perhaps even prouder of her role as a homemaker. At home, one of her greatest joys was caring for the many, many pets she adopted over the years, especially her beloved dogs, guinea pigs, and birds.

Janet was also an artist who loved drawing, painting, sculpting, and jewelry making. She had an extensive knowledge of classic, black-and-white movies, and loved music. She could often be found listening to disco and Motown music, as well as classic musicals. Janet was an avid reader and, privately, she was a prolific fiction writer. Later in her life, Janet became heavily involved in the natural health movement and was an active participant and moderator in a number of related Facebook groups.

Janet is survived by her mother, Diane (Fred) Decker of Mountain Grove, Missouri; husband, Kenneth D. Hull of Fort Wayne, Indiana; son, Steven Hull of Fort Wayne; and daughters, Kelly Hull of St. Louis, Missouri, Laura Hull of Fort Wayne, and Diana Hull of St. Louis, Missouri.

Janet's Celebration of life Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2019 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road.
