Janet Lee Loftin, 89, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025 surrounded by family.  She was born in Akron, Indiana and moved to Fort Wayne in the 1950s. There she met her future husband, Rayford Allen Loftin and raised two daughters, Tera Rae Viola and Stacia Ann Georgi.  She worked as an administrative assistant for Lincoln Life then later was a stay at home mom raising her daughters.  She was very active with the girls and their dance school often assisting in sewing and help with costumes for their recitals.  Jan (as she was called) loved spending time on the water boating alongside Ray and enjoyed summers at Lake Wawasee and Torch Lake in Michigan. Her smile was infectious, and it seemed her goal was to ensure no plate or glass was ever empty. Preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, and two sisters, Sharon and Peggy, Jan is survived by her girls, their husbands, David Viola and Matthew Georgi.   She was blessed with four grandchildren, Joey, Lauren, Cameron and McKenna and two great-grandchildren, Addison and Jameson who lovingly called her "Nana."

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday January 17, 2026 at The Chapel, 2505 West Hamilton Road South, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46814. Memorial visitation will begin at 1:00 pm.
