Janet Elaine West, 72, passed away on July 31, 2023. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN on September 4, 1950, a daughter of the late Olen and Gloria Yoder.

Janet was a woman of faith and in her earlier years was a member of Calvary Temple.
Janet was a daycare provider, her love for children was her career and she was able to touch a lot of lives through the families she helped care for. She will be remembered for her kind heart.
Crafting was Janet's joy. Christmas decorations, beading, macrame, and participating in craft bazaars just to name a few.
She enjoyed spending time at the lake, boating, camping, fishing and making sunny memories with her husband and family.
Janet was a music lover, while everybody was listening to Rock N' Roll, she would be listening to MoTown.

She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Larry West; children, Heather Howell and Jennifer (William) Phangsri; step-children, Kaye (John) Flanagan, Larry (Jeanette) West and Clarissa (Michael) Rooney; grandchildren, Logan Weaver, Avia and Chandler Phangsri; step-grandchildren, Lauren Luna, Patrick and Tyler Flanagan;  Hannah and Grayson West, Christian, Brandon and Thomas Rooney; great-grandchildren, Nash and Ivy Luna and Brecken Rooney; and siblings, Kenneth (Linda) Yoder, Jeffrey Yoder and Bonnie (Duane) Easterday.

Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, August 5, 2023 with calling 1 hour prior at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Rd., Ft. Wayne, IN.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 pm on Friday, August 4, 2023 also at the funeral home.
