Janice "Lovey" Elaine Fisher, 68, of Fort Wayne, passed on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Parkview Hospital. Born in Warsaw, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Helen (Hively) Fancil. Janice and her husband, Gene co-owned Gene''s Sewer Service for 34 years, retiring in 2011. She was also a bartender at American Legion Post #82. She was an avid bowler and loved crisscross pull tabs.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 51, years, George "Gene"-"Fish" Fisher; sons, Donald Fisher, Michael Fisher and Gene (Sandy Slider) Fisher all of Fort Wayne; brothers, Donald (Nancy) Fancil of Fort Wayne and Butch (Carol) Fancil of Florida; thirteen grandchildren, Justin, Danielle (Travis), Alyssa, Gabby (Jake), Delena, Courtney, Hailey, Bailey, Gage, Dominyke, Joshua (Megan), Lauren and Austin; and three great grandchildren, Natalie, Matthew and Isaac.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James Fancil; and two sisters, Patricia Horn and Peggy McClain.
Funeral Service is 11 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Covington Funeral Home, 8480 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2013 at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to the Alzheimer''s Association.
