J.D. BOGGS, 78, of Fort Wayne, died Sunday, December 31, 2006 at Parkview Hoapital. Born March 29, 1928 in Kosciusko County, he married the former Harriett A. Snyder on June 23, 1950. Mr. Boggs spent a lifetime working as a tool & die maker and retired in 1996 from JB Tool. He enjoyed golf and bowling and had been an active participant of both for more than 50 years and was a member of the Senior Golf League. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Harriett S. Boggs; son, James David Boggs of Columbia City; daughter, Linda Boggs (Rick) Hatfield of Columbia City; sister, Helen (Robert) Cramer of Kendallville; granchildren, Melany (Michael) Love, Jessica Hatfield and Cody Hatfield, great-grandchildren, Endymion Love and Bastian Love, all of Columbia City. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Funeral Services 11:00AM Thursday at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road (Fort Wayne) with calling one hour prior to services. Calling also Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8PM at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. The family's preferred memorial is the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
