Jeanine G. Meek, 84, of Arcola, died Thursday, October 25, 2007 at Covington Manor. Born February 3, 1923 in Chantilly, France, she has been a Fort Wayne resident since 1946, having met her husband, Richard in Paris during WWII. She received her US Citizenship in 1954 and was very patriotic and very proud to be an American. She was a member of Arcola United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Meek, their daughter Ruth Andree Meek and granddaughter, Jennifer L. Meek. Survivors include sons, John P. Meek of Ft. Myers Beach, FL and Robert W. (Patricia) Meek of Churubusco; daughter, Debora J. Meek of Arcola; son, James B. Meek of Arcola; half-sister, Monique (Richard) Chery of Jouy-en-Josas, France; grandchildren, Christine R. Meek of Ft Wayne, Christopher J. Meek of Indianapolis, Scott A. Meek of Cicero, Melissa D. (Joel) Fair of Churubusco, Amanda N. Meek of Ft Wayne, Kathryn J. Meek of Ft Wayne, Anthony J. Meek of Arcola and great-grandchildren, Collin Fair, Paige Fair, Brandon Meek & John Meek. Funeral Services 11:00AM Monday at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior to services. Calling also Sunday 1-5PM at the funeral home.
