Jeannette Jo "Jody" Uhen, died on Friday, May 22, 2015. Born in Muncie, she was the daughter of the late, Herbert B. McCabe and Maxine T. (Durgee) McCabe. Jody received her Registered Nursing Degree from Holy Cross School of Nursing. She then worked for Dr. Gus Craig''s office in Arkansas, Glock, Brown, Mackle, Hershberger Orthopedics of Fort Wayne and Covington Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and had previously attended St Joseph Catholic Church. She loved her family time, animals, cards, bingo and her favorite was crossword puzzles. "Jody was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and good friend to all she met, she will be missed dearly."

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Richard Uhen; sons, Karl (Dawn) Uhen, Kurt (Lori) Uhen and Kent Uhen all of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren, Morgan, MacKerstin, Myhrissa and Markazie; and "her grand dogs and cats."

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kerstin Uhen; sister, Jacqlynn Tudor.

Funeral Service is 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers preferred memorials are to Visiting Nurse.
