Jeremy Guy Thain, 55, passed away Monday, January 21, 2019.  Born in Elkhart, he graduated from Concord High School.  Jeremy graduated from Purdue with a Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy.  Jeremy was a district manager for Meijer Pharmacy and also worked at Judds, Bonnet Drug, Hooks, and CVS.

Jeremy was very involved in the Indiana Pharmacy Alliance. He served on the Pharmacist Education Foundation board for continuing education for pharmacists involved in IPA, and he helped with fundraising, Golf Committee, Silent Auctions, Indiana Immunization Coalition. He served as IPA president, and promoted legislation to expand patient access to vaccines.

Known to students as Mr. Pharmacy, he worked with Manchester University on the Experimental Education Advisory Council. He served on Indiana's Mental Health Quality Advisory Committee. Jeremy was awarded the Sagamore of the Wabash Award, NCPA Leadership Award, IPA Leadership Award, Joseph E. McSoley Community Pharmacist of the Year Award, and IACP Member at Large.

Jeremy enjoyed golfing, a good cigar, and a fine bourbon. He planned great trips and made sure everyone had a good time at every occasion. Jeremy loved cheering on the Purdue Boilermakers, Boston Red Sox, and New England Patriots. He was a loving husband, son, father, brother, uncle and a stranger to no one.

Jeremy is survived by his wife of 31 years, Katie; sons,Trevor (Cassie) Thain of Goshen, Mitchell (Sarah) Thain of St. Louis and Phillip Thain of Fort Wayne; parents, John and Jacqueline Thain of Goshen; brother, Richard (Jennifer) Thain Elkhart; and a sister, Jennifer (Brad) Haney of Goshen; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Heartland Hospice, Mobile Medical, and personal caregivers Beth Kirby and Cheryl Wisnioch.

Funeral service is at 11 a.m., Monday, January 28, 2019 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Ind., 46804, calling one hour prior to service.  Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday, January 27, 2019 at the funeral home.  He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens.  Preferred memorials are to IPA, ALS Chapter of Indiana, or Heartland Hospice.
