Jerrold D. "Cherk" Lesh, 74, of Roanoke, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2008 at Lutheran Hospital. He was born on April 7, 1934 to Clarence and Edna Lesh in Ft. Wayne. He worked for 42 years at Keefer Printing Co. He loved to fish and bear hunt. Jerry was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Edith, three sons Mark of Wolcottville, Gary (Barbara) of Roanoke, and David of Ft. Wayne; daughter Rose Lesh of Ft. Wayne; grandson Jason (Vanessa) McCormick; three great-grandchildren; sisters Betty Baron and Maxine Mudrack; brothers Ralph (Phillis) of Huntington and Robert of Versailles, KY. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Clarence Jr., sister Mary Maunce and a beautiful grandson Eric. "He was a loving person and will be missed dearly along with his great sense of humor." Funeral Service 10:00 am Thursday at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington RD with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also 4-8 Wednesday at the funeral home.
