Jerry Wayne Anderson, 83, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Parkview Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Jerry was a son to the late Richard and Alma (Benzinger) Anderson. He served honorably in the United States Army. Jerry married Patricia Vickers on April 11, 1963 and she survives. He was a member of the American Legion Post 47. Jerry was an avid fisherman and enjoyed NASCAR Racing. Above all else, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and his greatest joy was his family. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Patricia Anderson; children, Greg (Rachel) Anderson, Robert (Kim) Anderson, Carl (Deb) Anderson and Carla Saalfrank; sisters, Shirley Shidler and Sharon (Gerry) Peckham; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Jerry was also preceded in death by his brother Robert D. Anderson.
