Jerry James Gillum, 75, died on, Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Lutheran Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late, Eldridge and Leatha (Bale) Gillum. He retired from PHD as a machine operator after 38 years of service. He was a deacon and taught Sunday school classes at Love Church and now attends State Wood Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Annie Gillum; children, Duane (Regina) Gillum of Fort Wayne, Deanna Gillum-Scaggs of Parkton, North Carolina, Darlea (Michael) Moon of Pinehurst, North Carolina, Denise (Carlton) Foley Lumberton, North Carolina and Barbara (Andy) Theobald of Ida, Michigan; 12 grandchildren, Dawn Marie, Japheth, Stephanie, Scott, Auston, Sierra, Sean, Sarah, Austin, Logan, Brooklyn, Kaitlyn; and 3 great grandchildren, Danielle, Arielle and Joelle.

He was preceded in death by brother, Allen Gillum.

Service is 1 p.m., Monday, February 15, 2016 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling two hours prior. He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to Mad Anthony''s Hope House.
