Jerry M. Medert of Fort Wayne, died Wednesday May 23, 2007 at Hospice Home. Born in Chillicothe, OH, he was the son of Russell and Juanita Medert. He served with the U.S. Air Force in France and after returning, he attended and graduated from Ohio University. He retired from Sears as a district manager and had worked with Coldwell Banker, Service Merchandise and K''s Merchandise. He is survived by his wife, Diane, son Todd (Kristi) of Fort Wayne; daughter Kristy (Robert) Zink of Warsaw; five grandchildren, brother, David of Chillicothe; sister, Marlene Knoles of Chillicothe. Memorial service 7 p.m. Tuesday at The Chapel 2505 West Hamilton Rd with memorial calling one hour prior. Memorials to Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home. Arrangements by Covington Memorial Funeral Home
