Jess "Howard" Reed, Jr., returned to the Lord on March 11, 2012. Born in Geneva, Indiana on Feburary 8, 1923 to the late Jesse H. Sr. and Cora Ruth (David) Reed, he was the youngest of seven children. The Navy veteran retired from Sears in 1984 at a service technician.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Rita Reed of Sun City Arizona; son and daughter in law, William and Eileen Reed of Garland, Texas; two granddaughters, Vanessa (Barry) Saling and Jennifer Reed; a great grand daughter, Jessica Saling; niece, Ruth Wiegmann of Fort Wayne; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert Pollard; sisters, Emiley Wiedman, Lillian Fousnought, Isabell Dornsief, Florence Dey and Eva Pollard.
Memorial Graveside Service is 11 a.m., Monday, April 30, 2012 at Covington Memorial Gaardens, 8408 Covington Road, with Military Honors. Pastor Phyllis Wiegman will be officiating.
